Become a Referee
MBSC is Hosting a Referee course!
Youth and Adults interested in becoming certified referee should consider attending the course. The course is going to be held at the Melbourne Beach Community Center. It is a total of 18 hours of instruction followed by a test. Once certified, you will be able to referee youth soccer games at Melbourne beach as well as other clubs. It's a great way to increase your understanding of the game and also earn some extra money! This will probably be the last class offered locally before school starts!
Class dates are:
Wed 8/6 6-9pm
Fri 9/8 6-9pm
Sat 8/9 11am-5pm
Sun 8/10 11am-5pm
You will need to select Referee Grade 8 and then select the Melbourne Beach Course (course #B5-05-0808-08) then follow the registration instructions.
Registration and payment is done completely through the Florida State Referee (FSR) Association – not MBSC. On the first day of class you will need to bring your Social Security Number and make sure that your funds have been paid if you did not pay online. Space is limited

Tsunami Crash the BYSL Championships!
MBSC Tsunami Comp Teams qualified all of their U9 through U12 Competitive teams for the BYSL Comp Team Playoffs Held on May 17-18. All six teams won their way into the finals with five of the teams winning the championship!

Tsunami U15 Girls Repeat as Disney Memorial Day Shootout Champions
The Melbourne Beach Tsunami U15 Girls found themselves in a familiar place on Memorial Day, accepting the 1st place award on the podium at Disney Wide World of Sports after besting the Clearwater Chargers in a deja vu double overtime match that was decided by PK’s in both the 2007 and the 2008 games between these two teams. Tsunami Teams Compete in the Palm Bay Spring Challenge
MBSC sent 6 teams to the Palm Bay Spring Challenge. All teams competed in the top "National" Division. Both the U10 Boys and the U12 Boys made it to the finals! Great Job to All!

Melbourne Beach Tsunami Crash into Ormond Beach!
MBSC sent six competitive teams into the Ormond Beach Soccer Tournament held January 19/20.
Four of the six brought home the championship!

Also participating were the U12 Girls and U12 Boys Tsunami teams. All teams competed in the highest level of competition for their age brackets and demonstrated fantastic play.
